From Anchorage you can hop on a commuter flight for a scenic flight along the shores of Cook Inlet well within sight of the many active volcanoes known as the “Ring Of Fire”. These volcanoes are the beginning of both the Alaska Range and the Aleutian Peninsula. If you choose to take this commuter flight to Homer, plan on around 45 minutes of flight time for the trip.

If you rent a car and decide to take the scenic drive, you will find Homer is a fairly long 220 mile drive from Anchorage. This is a relatively long trip, especially due to the scenic nature of the highway, and is most often broken into two days or more. Stops of interest along the way are never a problem and may be more numerous then the days in a year. So now you’re entering the town of Homer located at the end of the road system on the Kenai Peninsula, on Alaska’s South Central Coast.
